CANTON, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 18, 2007--The Timken Company (NYSE:TKR) today announced it will increase base prices on hot-rolled, cold-finished and single-thermal-treated special bar quality (SBQ) products by $30 per ton. This price increase is effective with shipments beginning on Dec. 1, 2007.

Raw material surcharges will remain in effect.

Price increases for double- and triple-thermal-treated product announced in June 2007 remain in effect and are not affected by this announcement.
