Timken Appoints Brent J. Dorman Director of Engineering for Bearings & Power Transmission

CANTON, Ohio, June 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Timken Company (NYSE: TKR) named Brent J. Dorman to director of engineering for Bearings and Power Transmission (B&PT) group.

Dorman provides leadership for the total engineering needs of the group and is responsible for global Mobile Industries customer engineering and tapered roller bearing product design.

During his 29-years with The Timken Company, Dorman has held positions of increasing responsibility including roles in design and application engineering, manager of international market development, management roles in Latin America and Asia and general manager of product management, leading to his most recent position as director of process execution.

He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural engineering from Iowa State University and his Master of Science in mechanical engineering from Case Western Reserve University.

A native of Truro, Iowa, Dorman is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).
